SUZANNE T. PRESCOTT
Suzanne Prescott joined the Smith Bivek law group almost immediately after it formed. In her words: “I was instantly drawn towards joining their practice because of our shared belief that getting the best result for the client does not always have to involve long, expensive, contentious fighting. I view divorce as the new beginning in my client’s lives, and I focus on obtaining the best starting point from all aspects – financially, emotionally, spiritually and structurally. I find purpose and joy in helping my clients and their families jump start their new possibilities from a position of strength.” In furtherance of her goals, Suzanne trained in Collaborative Law, which offers a structured, non-adversarial approach to divorce.
Following graduation from the University of Georgia School of Law, Suzanne has dedicated her entire career solely to practicing family law because “I don’t strive to be the best general attorney, I strive to be the best family law attorney so that my clients are assured that I provide exceptional representation, and that they can trust and count on me when I’m in their corner.” She is experienced in all aspects of family law, having represented all manners of clients – husband, wife, wealthy, underprivileged – in all manner of situations – contested divorce, uncontested divorce, custody, child support, agreement modification, and contempt actions.
Suzanne and her husband Ryan live in Smyrna, Georgia with their black lab, Bailey. She was raised in Indiana and Connecticut by her parents, Davis and Patty, whose roots stem from Mississippi. Suzanne hurried south for college, and graduated cum laude from Emory University before conquering law school. When Suzanne is not advocating for her clients she is an avid runner with 2 marathons and countless half-marathons under her belt. She is a food and wine enthusiast who enjoys cooking, and she reserves her Fall Saturdays for Bulldog football and tailgating in Athens.
